Lesson 17: When Revelation Interrupts Routine

Bartimaeus had built a life around his limitation. Same road. Same cloak. Same blindness. Same begging. Then he heard that Jesus was passing by — and everything changed before anything changed.

The crowd identified Jesus by where He came from: "Jesus of Nazareth." Bartimaeus identified Him by who He was: "Jesus, Son of David." He had never seen a miracle. He had simply heard enough testimony to recognize the King. And when the crowd tried to silence him, he cried out louder — because his cry was more than a request for healing. It was a man breaking agreement with the life his condition had handed him.
