Sermon Notes - It's Deeper Thank You Think
This is not just a spiritual battle — it’s a cultural war. The enemy’s greatest strategy isn’t just temptation, but influencing high places — systems, ideologies, and atmospheres — to shape identity, values, and purpose. The Church (Ecclesia) must wake up and step into its jurisdictional authority.
Key Scriptures:
• Ezekiel 36:1–6 – God tells the prophet to speak to the mountains. The enemy taunts, claiming possession of the high places.
• Romans 8:18–21 – Creation is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God. Glory is locked inside of us.
• Ephesians 6:11–12 – We don’t wrestle with flesh but with strategic demonic systems in high places.
• 2 Corinthians 10:3–5 – Our warfare pulls down strongholds, arguments, and everything that exalts itself against God.
• Matthew 16:18–19 – Jesus gives us keys of the Kingdom — legislative authority to bind and loose.
Five Kingdom Revelations in This War:
High Places = Strategic Influence
• Biblically: Elevated locations of worship or idolatry.
• Today: Systems, ideologies, platforms, and inner allegiances.
• Whoever controls the high places controls the narrative.
• High places shape belief systems, moral values, laws, and identity.
Culture Has Pulling Power
• Culture determines what’s normal, honored, and allowed to grow.
• It defines values, behaviors, language, and expectations.
• You can’t disciple people while being discipled by the world.
• The Kingdom of God has its own culture — we must establish it.
The Enemy Is Strategic, Not Random
• “Wiles” (methodia) = systemized deception and manipulation.
• Custom-designed strategies target your vulnerabilities.
• Satan’s goal: Pull you off course, not just tempt you with sin.
• You are being studied, not just tempted. Patterns are watched.
Two Kingdoms, One Battlefield
• The second heaven is a real battlefield — the realm of spiritual opposition.
• The kingdom of darkness seeks to block Heaven’s will from manifesting.
• Daniel 10 shows that answers from God can be delayed due to this conflict.
• Your fasting and intercession make room for breakthrough.
The Role of the Ecclesia (Church)
• You are not just saved — you’re sent.
• The Church is Heaven’s governing agency on Earth.
• Jesus gave us keys, meaning we legislate Heaven’s will.
• Our job is not to escape the world, but to occupy high places until He comes.
Practical Examples of High Places Today:
• Media – Shapes belief, identity, and normalizes dysfunction.
• Education – Shapes thought, language, and value systems.
• Government – Shapes law, policy, and morality.
• Entertainment – Shapes desire, worth, and worldview.
• Religion – Can become a high place when void of truth.
Call to Action:
• Wake Up – Break autopilot living and spiritual numbness.
• Intercede – Fast and pray strategically. Clear the heavens.
• Bind & Loose – Use your legislative authority in prayer.
• Occupy High Places – Be a Kingdom influence in your job, school, and community.
• Guard Your Intake – Media is a platform of influence; guard your gates.
• Build Culture – Establish Kingdom norms at home, work, and in church.
• Disciple, Don’t Entertain – The Church must equip saints, not mimic the world.
Summary:
You are not wrestling against people — you are battling systems, ideologies, and spiritual strategies that are deeper than you think. But you are not powerless. You are the ekklesia, Heaven’s legislative body on Earth. It’s time to understand your assignment, step into your authority, and bring Heaven’s culture into Earth’s chaos. The resurrection wasn’t just for Jesus — it activated you too.
