What is Man: Lesson Four: She Shall Be Called Woman

📖Text: Genesis 1:26–28; Genesis 2:23

📅 Date: August 3, 2025

Series Theme: Rediscovering Mankind’s Identity, Function, and Glory in God

Opening Thought

Until we receive the revelation of who we were purposed to be, we cannot fully walk in the redemptive work of Christ.

Redemption brings us back to what was lost.

David’s Question Still Stands

“What is man (Enosh – frail, fragile, broken man) that Thou are mindful of him?”

Ladies, who are you?

That God would crown you with glory and honor?

That you were purposed in the grand scheme of God’s creation?

Genesis 1:27–28

“So God created man in His own image… male and female He created them… God blessed them… be fruitful and multiply…”

God created both male and female with distinct yet interdependent functions—designed to reveal His glory and execute His purpose.

The Counterpart: Female (נְקֵבָה – Neqevah)

Hebrew Breakdown

Nun (נ) – Life, seed

Qof (ק) – Sacred time, hidden realm

Bet (ב) – House, dwelling place

Hey (ה) – Revelation, divine breath

Meaning:

“The one who receives seed, nurtures life in hidden space, builds it within, and releases it with divine breath.”

Root Word: נָקַב (naqab)

To pierce, designate, name

Marked and chosen for purpose

Opener of space for purpose

Power to define and call forth

Spiritual Function of the Female

Physically designed to receive seed

Spiritually designed to carry and multiply what is given

Being built to receive is not weakness—it is WOMAN’S SUPERPOWER!

Kingdom Truths About Woman’s Design

Receiving is Divine Strategy

Receiving is the first step of multiplication

Receiving is spiritual strength and discernment

The enemy fears a woman who knows how to discern what to receive.

Nurturing Is Her Design

A seed becomes a child—nurturing is biological and spiritual

When what is nurtured stops growing, it fails to mature

The enemy wants to interrupt this design by distorting identity

Multiplication is Built Into Her Nature

“You give her groceries, she gives you a meal…”

“You give her a house, she makes it a home…”

“You give her a dream, she turns it into a plan…”

A woman is not defined by what she starts with, but what she produces from it.

Warning: The Enemy’s Strategy

What a woman receives—she multiplies.

If she receives toxic or false things, she may:

Nurture them emotionally

Incubate them mentally

Multiply them relationally

 Genesis 2:23

“She shall be called Woman (Ishah), because she was taken out of Man (Ish).”

“She shall be called…”

To call is to:

Define

Assign identity

Activate destiny

Set apart for function

Calling draws forth and activates purpose.

The Word “Woman” – אִשָּׁה (Ishah)

Hebrew Letter Breakdown:

Aleph (א) – Strength, leadership, image of God

Shin (ש) – Fire, refining, divine presence

Hey (ה) – Revelation, breath, prophetic voice

The woman was created as a divine expression of God’s nature, wisdom, and intention.

Emotional Depth Is Not a Flaw

Built to nurture, intercede, empathize, and respond

Emotional depth = discernment and intercession

The enemy tries to distort emotions through trauma

The Responsibility of the Ishah of God

If Yod (hand of God) is removed from Man (Ish):

Aleph + Shin = Esh (א־׊ׁ) = uncontrolled fire

Man becomes untamed, destructive fire

Breath Influences Fire

The woman (Hey) can:

Ignite it

Fan it

Suffocate it

She can inspire or uncage the fire of man

Woman impacts the soul of man like no other being.

Adam’s Recognition: Genesis 2:23

“This is now bone of my bones… she shall be called Woman…”

Naming in Hebraic culture:

Identity declaration

Relational recognition

Covenant acknowledgment

Genesis 3:1 – The Serpent and the Woman

“Now the serpent was more cunning… and he said to the woman…”

Satan targeted influence to corrupt order

He studied her makeup and leveraged her influence

Paul affirms this in: 1 Timothy 2:14: “Adam was not deceived, but the woman…”

Adam wasn’t tricked—he chose due to relational bond.

The Fall = Distortion of Function

Eve was deceived

Adam refused to lead

The mechanism Satan used was The woman's God-given influence—distorted

But… Redemption Through the Woman

Genesis 3:15 – “Her seed will bruise your head…”

The woman’s design as a life-bearer and divine vessel was weaponized against the enemy.

The Strategic Attacks on the Ishah of God

1. Attack on Her Identity

Lie: “You’re not enough”

Strategy: Comparison, performance, appearance

Point: Forgetting whose you are leads to forgetting who you are

2. Attack on Her Voice

Hey (ה) = breath, prophetic expression

Strategy: Silence or distort your voice

Point: A silent woman is a diminished weapon in the hands of God, but a loud woman, misaligned, can become a tool the enemy uses to tear down what she was called to build.

A Spirit-led woman carries weight, not just volume

3. Attack on Her Worth

Lie: “You’re only as valuable as your body, beauty, or status”

Strategy: Hyper-sexualization, external validation

Point: The “Ishah” of God is priceless

Proverbs 31:10: “Her worth is far above rubies…”

4. Attack on Her Design

Lie: “You don’t need a man” or “You’re only valuable if you have one”

Strategy: Confuse gender roles, distort femininity

Point: Woman is a divine counterpart, not a duplicate

Genesis 2:18: “I will make a helper suitable…”

5. Attack on Her Relationships

Lie: “You can’t trust people”

Strategy: Jealousy, trauma, offense, betrayal

Point: United women threaten hell

Wounded women delay generational impact

It’s GO TIME!

Steps for Returning to God’s Intentions for His Woman

REPENT

Turn from sin, shame, and compromise

Realign with God’s original blueprint

RENOUNCE LIES

Break agreement with false identity

“I’m not enough,” “I’m too broken,” “My voice doesn’t matter”

RECEIVE REVELATION

Let God redefine you by the Word

You are Ishah — divine strength, holy fire, breath of God

RECLAIM YOUR ASSIGNMENT

Your calling is not canceled

You are His workmanship

RECONNECT WITH SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY

Return to sisterhood and accountability

You are not meant to be an Ishah in isolation

RELEASE OTHERS THROUGH YOUR STORY

Testify and break shame

Your healing will become someone else’s deliverance

Final Charge

The redeemed woman is God’s weapon in the earth.

She’s the life-bearer, the promise carrier, the revealer of glory, and the vessel of legacy.

You are not Eve in her fall…

You are ISHAH in her redemption.
